A destination engagement session in Oregon? YES. Just outside of Portland and 20 minutes north of Cannon Beach, this little beach town called Gearhart is a haven. It’s been almost a year since I first laid eyes on the beautiful Oregon landscapes. Wide beaches, lush forest, jagged cliffs… man do I miss it. I had dreamed of visiting OR since I was 15 years old and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest. Truly, combining my two loves of travel and photography is always a dream. Kelsey and John complimented the views so perfectly on this brisk morning walk to the sea. There they listened to the low tide, snuggled up for warmth, and chatted about their plans for the day.

Since Olivia and Graham were coming up from Georgia, I knew their session couldn’t be just anywhere. It needed to be somewhere unique – somewhere worth hours in the car for. I had never been to this SC waterfall and was shocked at how easily accessible (and remote) it was. We basically had the whole […]

On a random weekday, my brain decided that it wanted to conceptualize a shoot that was on the edge of an old school feel. I reached out to a friend who has an old cabin and from there, planned a session with Catherine and Joe. I wanted this shoot to display an easy, simple kind […]

This is one of my favorite photo locations in Western North Carolina and no matter what season I go, rain, fog, or shine, it’s incredible! To Sarah, Max Patch is a special place. […]

There are times in life as a photographer when we get so caught up in running here and there, working our butts off, and creating for others that we forget to do something VITAL for ourselves… creating just to create. When you don’t water a garden, nothing grows. The same is true for our mind, […]
