I likely chose way too many photos of Sarah and Lucas from their sunset engagement… OOPS!… but I simply couldn’t help myself. This is one of my favorite photo locations in Western North Carolina and no matter what season I go, rain, fog, or shine, it’s incredible!
To Sarah, Max Patch is a special place. She not only grew up hiking there regularly, but she always envisioned the wedding of her dreams to be there. Their wedding won’t be at Max Patch (but still in the stunning mountains of Boone, NC), so the next best thing was for their session to take place there! We hiked up in anticipation of Lucas’ reaction to the breathtaking landscape as it was his first visit. I’d say he loves it now just as much as us.. who wouldn’t?!
For this super sweet engagement session, we were blessed with the most glowy, sun-kissed evening in the mountains. These two warmed up with a little bourbon, ran around the mountain, popped champagne in classic picnic fashion, and then watched the sun go down in peace and with gratitude.
Theres no other way I’d want to spend time with my couples than doing exactly what means the most to them!
