Manhattan City Hall Elopement

Mirina and Ryan met me in Central Park the week before their Manhattan City Hall elopement, so when their wedding day came around, we already had a rhythm! Like meeting friends again, not clients. It made everything feel sooo easy from the start.

Mirina got ready at Moxy NYC Downtown with her mom. Just the two of them in the room, taking their time. Once she was dressed, we walked over to City Hall Park for a first look with Ryan and the family! We had the most BEAUTIFUL spring weather. Couldn’t have been more perfect! City Hall Park is a perfect spot to gain a bit of privacy for such a sweet moment.

Before going inside the courthouse, we stopped at Tweed Courthouse for photos. The stone columns and architecture always give that classic New York look without having to travel all over the city.

Then we headed into Manhattan City Hall for the ceremony! If you’ve ever done City Hall, you know it’s quick and straightforward. You check in, wait your turn, and a few minutes later you’re married. Quite literally, the actual ceremony takes like 2 minutes. It’s insane.

If you’re planning a City Hall wedding, one thing I always recommend is building in extra time. Even with an appointment, there can be waiting involved, security lines, or just general unpredictability. Give yourself margin so you’re not stressed about timing., especially if you’re planning a dinner reservation or celebration afterward!

Afterward, we walked through the building for photos and made sure to grab a few exiting the yellow doors. That just-married walk out is always worth documenting.

Later in the year, I got to see them again for their elopement announcement and reception celebration, which made this whole season of their story feel extra special and tied up with a bow! Three sessions in one year doesn’t happen often, and I’m always grateful when it does 🥹
