where words don't do justice for the moments contained
Long John Silvers is probably the LAST place a person would consider for a photoshoot, right? Wrong.
When I drove by the vacant and overgrown LJS in Forest City, NC and saw these incredible pink rhododendrons in bloom, I knew I couldn’t wait long to pull together a shoot to take place there. I immediately went to instagram to use my resources and seek out the perfect couple who could vibe with this setting and trust me as their photographer to make this run down place look cool and beautiful.
When Christen and David responded to my search, all the scattered photoshoot visions in my head came together. They’re the edgy, tattooed, skateboarding couple I was hoping for and we made plans to shoot the following morning! Super last minute, but my brain was on fire with ideas!
From California, the two of them are super laidback and were excited for the chance to hop on their boards again. It was the most fun, creatively rejuvenating day I had had in some time. We hung out, they let me shove them into bushes (as I tend to do 😜) and they took turns coming through the drive through. Can you think of a better morning? I can’t.
