Nothing compares to a November elopement featuring an Intimate Candlelit Dinner in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just 20 minutes outside of Asheville, this stunning VRBO and Elopement Venue, Mount Airy Farm, sits on about 40 acres of private property in Leicester. Given that the house is surrounded on all sides by mountain views, there’s no shortage of spots to say “I do”. At this point in the season, the colorful leaves were saying their final goodbyes. Color speckled the ground everywhere we went. We ended the night having explored the property and topped it off with a candlelit dinner under twinkly lights.
There is a lot to say about an elopement day itself. However, there is so much more to say on the planning that goes into it beforehand. Sometimes elopement planning can be tricky! If you’ve invited some family or friends, where will they stay? Where will everyone get ready? Does everyone have transportation?
Thankfully, Katie and Stephen were lucky enough to have found Mount Airy Farm which settled all of those concerns. Since the estate sleeps 16 people, no one has to worry about going from one place to another or finding their own way among the winding roads. It’s the perfect place to host an elopement or wedding!
This elopement truly came to life thanks to the incredible vendors who made it happen and the couples vision for the day.

This Session…. I am absolutely obsessed with it to this day! Anna and Hill (you’ll recognize their names from their wedding blog!) invited me over for an intimate In-home engagement session in Blowing Rock, NC! This cozy cottage belongs to Hills grandparents who have owned it and visited Blowing Rock for ages. They have spent […]
Maddie + Austin. These two are SO fun and their love and happiness with each other beyond evident. I couldn’t count how many times “I love you” was said if I had to. Since they love the highlands so much and it holds so many memories for them, it only made sense that they would […]
When Gwendolyn came to me with her request for edgy, but modern and cool couples photos for her and her husband, Briar, I was all about it. I love out of the box photos for couples, especially when it’s on the minimal side! Gwen showed up in her stunningggg Free People Set , I knew […]
These two have true hearts of gold, and although I’ve known them for such a short time, I want to know them forever. Melissa and Doug invited me up to the Jersey shore and Long Branch to photograph their wedding and document them in a way that felt natural to them. It was such an […]
From the historic getting ready space in the heart of Tryon, NC to the wedding location just 20 minutes away at the beautiful Overmountain Vineyards, this mountain garden party wedding was filled with character and charm. The 1825 Cabin, known as “Pea Ridge Cabin“, served as the perfect space for Savanna and her closest friends […]
M and E’s stunning wedding in the mountains of Weaverville, NC. There were so many emotional, heartfelt moments of their day, including their first look and private first vows. Not long ago, it was uncommon for a bride and groom to see each other before their ceremony. That “walking down the aisle” moment was what […]
This is your step-by-step guide to the perfect engagement session! Engagement photos can feel a little daunting. Especially if you’ve never had professional photos done or if this is your first time having them done as a couple! You may feel like you’re too awkward for a photoshoot, aren’t photogenic, or simply don’t know what […]
Since Olivia and Graham were coming up from Georgia, I knew their session couldn’t be just anywhere. It needed to be somewhere unique – somewhere worth hours in the car for. I had never been to this SC waterfall and was shocked at how easily accessible (and remote) it was. We basically had the whole […]
On a random weekday, my brain decided that it wanted to conceptualize a shoot that was on the edge of an old school feel. I reached out to a friend who has an old cabin and from there, planned a session with Catherine and Joe. I wanted this shoot to display an easy, simple kind […]
"We cried when we saw the photos for the first time. Nothing will ever compare to those memories. We will cherish them always, our first precious family heirloom."
