Best NC Wedding Venues (A Photographer’s Honest Faves)

If you’re searching for the best NC wedding venues, you’re in the right place. I know the wedding planning process has gotta feel SO overwhelming the minute the ring hits your finger.. I’m here to help! North Carolina is home to some of the most diverse and beautiful wedding venues, from mountain views to historic estates to tucked-away garden settings.

As a North Carolina wedding photographer, I’ve had the chance to photograph at so many incredible locations. In this post, I’m sharing a few of my personal favorite NC wedding venues. Not just because they’re beautiful, but because they photograph effortlessly and create an amazing overall experience.

Magnolia House

Magnolia House is one of the most charming historic wedding venues in North Carolina. It’s intimate, full of character, and perfect for couples planning a meaningful, smaller wedding day.

The gardens are a dreammmm for photos and the house itself it STUNNING inside and out.

Homewood

Homewood is one of the most timeless Asheville wedding venues. With its historic architecture and mountain views, it offers the best of both worlds.

It’s especially perfect for a full wedding weekend, with plenty of space for guests and multiple beautiful locations for photos throughout the day.

Kindling Meadows

Kindling Meadows is a stunning option for couples looking for a rustic yet refined North Carolina wedding venue.

With flower fields, soft golden light, and a peaceful setting, it’s ideal for couples who want a laid-back wedding that still feels elevated and intentional.

Skyline Lodge

Skyline Lodge is one of the most unique mountain wedding venues in North Carolina.

Located in Highlands, it offers incredible views paired with a more modern, design-forward aesthetic — making it perfect for couples who want something a little different.

Orion Chapel & Schoolhouse

Orion Chapel and Schoolhouse offers a truly unique experience among NC wedding venues.

The combination of a dark chapel where light streams through stained glass windows and a separate schoolhouse reception space gives couples two distinct atmospheres, all in one location.

Hotel Domestique

Hotel Domestique is technically in South Carolina (oops!), but it’s one of the best wedding venues near North Carolina and absolutely worth considering.

With its European-inspired design and mountain setting, it feels like a total destination wedding without leaving the Southeast!

If you’re still exploring NC wedding venues, I hope this list gave you a helpful starting point. Each of these venues offers something unique, and you really can’t go wrong with any of them.

If you’re planning a wedding at one of these locations and looking for a photographer who knows how to make the most of each space — I’d love to connect.
