While this couple officially said their vows at the Buncombe County Courthouse, we couldn’t resist stepping just a few blocks away for portraits in front of one of Asheville’s most iconic modern buildings—the Asheville Art Museum. The clean lines, striking architecture, and cultural significance make it an incredible backdrop for wedding photos.
These portraits felt elevated, editorial, and timeless in a way that only a museum setting can provide. If you’re dreaming of wedding photos at the Asheville Art Museum, this space offers such a unique blend of modern design and downtown Asheville charm.
Even though this wasn’t technically an Asheville Art Museum wedding, photographing in front of the museum only reinforced how stunning it would be as a full wedding venue. The museum’s contemporary architecture, natural light, and central location make it an ideal space for couples who love art, culture, and intentional design.
An Asheville Art Museum wedding would be perfect for couples who want something modern, intimate, and deeply meaningful, especially those drawn to creative spaces and city elopements or micro-weddings.
As a photographer, I’m always inspired by venues that feel thoughtful and story-rich, and the Asheville Art Museum is absolutely one of those places. I would love to document a wedding here from start to finish someday, now that they’re offering it as a venue!
